Not like any other city...

Last Saturday afternoon around 4:30p, I took my stacks of business card sized advertisement coupons for the "club" that pays me each week and dropped off smaller stacks to each hotel along Pacific Avenue.
I parked my car at a central location uptown, and hit four hotels. After I drive my car down 3 more blocks; park my car and walk up 1/2 a block to  hit 3 other hotels. As I cross Pacific Avenue to hit the last hotel, I hear someone speaking loudly. I look up and see two young men almost my age (22-27) standing in front of the lobby doors.
"I'm sorry, were you talking to me?"
        "yes"
        "oh...."
I keep walking towards the lobby doors, head down intent on leaving a stack next to all the other free promotional material, so I can continue on with my Saturday night. As I get closer to them, one mutters:
"Please tell me you're a prostitute?"
"No, I own a marketing company. Here are two passes to get into a strip club for 5$ off." I say as I continue on into the lobby dropping off my promotional material.
They walk in behind me; up the stairs into the hotel and one of them mutters, "shame..."
Well naturally I laughed, because how else am I supposed to behave? Should I have maced them? Flipped out, made a scene? No...what's the point?
This is Atlantic City, somewhere AC took a turn as the East Coast male-prostitute safe haven where it is accepted and understood that people come to AC to pay for sex. Now I've asked around to the locals, and I get that the general consensus is it was the mid-90's.
Since I live in and love Atlantic City, I will only try to fix this, and laugh at the way the film "Idiocracy" predicted how society would evolve.
I fear the day that "Adult Latt`es" are sold on every corner.

That photo was taken from the back of a car with lights on the roof on the beach...Atlantic City is, you have no idea.
