Hawk eye

Hawkeye Delano born March 5th 1983

“I was living in a hammock in a quarry around Feasterville after I graduated from Tech school in 2001.”

Homeless after his graduation from Bucks County Technical High School in 2001, Hawk Eye Delano moved to a hammock near a quarry in Feasterville PA, till the US Army offered something more.
“The army was sort of a last resort.”
Hawk Eye, (yes, that’s really his name) now 22, is embarking on a cold winter journey south down the Appalachian Trail with the final destination of Hot Springs, North Carolina for an Earth Day hiker festival. Then he’s off to Damascus, Virginia for another festival.
How does one prepare for such a journey? Fleeing a military base in Virginia via K-mart bike to Key West Florida is one way, hiking 30 miles through the snow in 7.5 lb military boots that aren’t waterproof, to Irwin, Tenn. is another.
This will really be just one more leg of his journey he began when he realized the military was not for him. It took the military 15 months before they even issued a warrant for his arrest. Eventually he was picked up in Chyeane, WY by a state trooper while hitch hiking. Hawkeye was then shipped via back seats of commercial airliners. Handcuffs hidden in the middle hoodie pocket, with armed guards dressed as businessmen on either side of him.
Hawkeye spent four months in Breminton, WA, then was released on a ferry to Seattle, WA where he immediately got a job building stages for Hempfest which he followed across the country back to the clear waters of Key West.

“I’d rather be outside.”
